History
TENSHO started by manufacturing electronic components, such as sockets and switches made from electrical insulating materials and thermosetting resins. We were the first manufacturer to commercialize a radio plastic cabinet. The history of plastic molding is in essence our history.

| 1943 | May | The Osaka plant started operations (Joto-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). |
| 1944 | February | The Nihonmatsu plant started operations (Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture). |
| 1961 | October | TENSHO Electric Industries was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. |
| 1963 | May | The Sagamihara plant started operations (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture). |
| 1970 | March | The Fukushima plant started operations (Adachi-machi, Adachi-gun, Fukushima Prefecture). |
| 1973 | February | The electronic equipment division was separated from TENSHO Electric Industries and TENSHO Electronics Co., Ltd. was established. |
| 1976 | June | The Fukushima Mold plant started operations (Adachi-machi, Adachi-gun, Fukushima Prefecture). |
| July | The Nihonmatsu plant (molding division) relocated to the Fukushima plant. | |
| 1977 | November | The Sagamihara plant was enlarged and the production facilities of thre Tokyo plant were relocated to the Sagamihara plant. |
| 1981 | May | Tokyo Mold plant relocated to the Sagamihara plant. |
| 1987 | April | The New Business plant (NB plant) started on the premises of the Fukushima plant. |
| 1989 | June | TENSHO concluded a technical tie-up with Thai Summit Autoparts Industry Co. Ltd. (Thailand) and started the overseas technical support. |
| November | TENSHO concluded a capital tie-up with Asahi Kasei Corporation. | |
| 1991 | November | The Yabuki plant started operations (Yabuki-cho, Nishishirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture). |
| 1993 | March | TENSHO had a technical tie-up with Summit Plasto (Indonesia). |
| 1998 | October | TENSHO had a capital tie-up with Sanko Co., Ltd. |
| 2001 | October | TENSHO made an equity investment in Sannou Giken Kogyo Co., Ltd. |
| 2002 | April | TENSHO merged with Sannou Giken, relocated the Sagamihara plant to Saitama Prefecture, and integrated the plant into the Saitama plant. The the Saitama plant started operations (Kawajimamachi, Hiki-gun, Saitama Prefecture). |
| 2003 | December | Tensho Plastic (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was founded (Changzhou City, Jiangsu Provence, China). |
| 2004 | November | The name of Igaueno plant was changed to Mie plant. |
| 2005 | October | TENSHO made an equity investment in Daiichi Kaken Co., Ltd. |
| December | TENSHO made an equity investment in Shanghai Sharp Mold and Manufacturing Systems Co., Ltd. | |
| 2006 | April | TENSHO merged with Daiichi Kaken Co., Ltd. and the the Gunma plant started operations (Ota City, Gunma Prefecture). |
| December | Boryszew Tensho Poland SP. Z o.o. was founded (Torun City, Poland). | |
| 2007 | January | Tensho America Corporation was founded (San Diego City, CA, USA). |
| April | Tensho Mexico Corporation S.A. de C.V. was founded (Rosarito City, Baja California, Mexico). | |
| August | Tensho Plastic (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. relocated to Liyang City, Jiangsu Provence, China. | |
| 2008 | June | The headquarters relocated from Wakabayashi, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo to Machida City, Tokyo. |
| 2013 | January | Tensho (Changzhou) Trading Co., Ltd. was established. |
| 2018 | June | Tensho America Corporation becomes a consolidated subsidiary. |
